For over 35 years, I've been immersed in the world of commercial advertising photography, capturing moments and turning them into brand stories. 

Though commercial photography will always be a part of my DNA, I've now embarked on an exciting new journey: Pigment Plus Canvas. This online art store is where my dual loves of photography and fine art come together in a harmonious blend. It's a curated space for high-end canvas art prints, not just from my own portfolio, but also from a handpicked selection of established artists whose work I admire and respect.

Why Pigment Plus Canvas? Because I believe that art should be accessible, and what's more accessible than the walls of your own home or office? I've always been fascinated by the emotional impact of a well-crafted image, and through Pigment Plus Canvas, I get to share that magic with you. Using only premium-grade materials and state-of-the-art printing technology, each piece we offer captures the intricate details, vivid colors, and emotional subtleties that make art truly 'come alive.'

Julia Purinton

Julia Purinton

Fine artist and muralist Julia Purinton divides her time between urban Washington, DC and a small rural village in Vermont. Both places provide plenty of material for her evocative landscapes and cityscapes. Working in oils, acrylics, venetian plaster and glaze, Julia’s artwork has the luminous glow and vintage romance of images by artists who influence her: William Turner, John Singer Sargent and the Brandywine River School painters. Many layers of glaze create the atmospheric moods of her landscapes. Her work is found in galleries in New England.

Silvia Vassileva

Silvia Vassileva pursued her love of art at the Academy of Fine Art in Bulgaria, where she earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees. She spent six years painting and exhibiting her work in Japan before moving to the U.S. Silvia describes her style as very free and bold. She makes her paintings come alive by using contrast and unusual color palettes. Silvia’s home studio, which she designed herself, is bright, contemporary and minimalist.
Farida Zaman

Farida Zaman

Farida Zaman’s passion for art and design led her to an international career as a freelance illustrator and fine artist in Geneva, London, New York and Toronto. Her unmistakably lively, colorful and whimsical art can be seen in posters, book covers, children’s book illustrations, clothing, packaging and giftware. Gaining inspiration in recent years from trips to Morocco, Thailand, Turkey, Iran, Italy, Spain and France, her travels have added a sophisticated and multi-cultural flair to her collections.
Mike Schick

Mike Schick

After dedicating many years to the world of three-dimensional arts, where he carved a niche for himself as a skilled sculptor and an innovative designer of home accessories, Mike Schick decided to venture into the realm of painting. In this new medium, just as in his prior artistic endeavors, he places immense importance on the nuances of drawing, with a keen eye on the intricate details of surface and texture. Every piece of art he creates is approached with a spirit of experimentation. For Mike, the act of painting is not just about the final image on the canvas, but the journey to get there.
Danhui Nai

Danhui Nai

Danhui Nai was born in mainland China and raised in an artistic household with her sculptor father and painter mother. Her natural passion for art was guided through classical training which she applies in her California studio to create beautiful, on-trend artwork in a variety of media. She studied interior design later in Paris and New York City. She worked in the textile industry in Manhattan, where she continued her studies and artistic development.

Pamela Munger

Pamela started painting as a creative outlet for her work as an English teacher, which soon grew to a passion. She paints with acrylics, using brushes and palette knives.Pamela and her husband co-own Misty Mountain Hop Farm and she paints full time. If she isn’t enjoying the outdoors, you’ll find her at her easel.
Courtney Prahl

Courtney Prahl

Courtney Prahl is a mixed media collage artist who uses color and layers throughout her work. Juxtaposing old and new materials is part of her signature style, and she loves searching for vintage paper treasures at tag sales and flea markets to incorporate into her art. Courtney teaches art to children of all ages at an art center and community college, and is the co-founder of a local art charity “Lend a Hand” in her hometown. She resides in Maryland with her husband and two sons.
David Carter Brown

David Carter Brown

After attending Parsons School of Design, New York born David Carter Brown began his career producing hand-painted designs in the Folk Art tradition. Since then he has produced many licensed collections in wall coverings, china, and accessories. Working from his studio in the rolling hills of upstate New York, David is constantly inspired by his rural surroundings, rich in the traditions of farming and American country life.

Melissa Wang

Melissa Wang is a multi-faceted Chinese illustrator and designer based in Richmond, VA. Her parents discovered her talent when she was four years old. She started with Chinoiserie painting, later using pencil, gouache, oil, acrylic, chalk, watercolor, and ink. Her unique style is found in a wide variety of media. As an illustrator, Wanwan’s obsession with nature is apparent in all of her work. She strives to deliver the most effective solution by con- stantly sharpening her skills in every aspect while maintaining the highest standards.

June Erica Vess

Drawn simultaneously to classic illustration as well as mid-century design, artist June Erica Vess blurs the line between old and new. Whether working in the context of intricate patterns or sparse, gestural abstracts, she finds balance and beauty in the interplay of color, line, & shape.
Victoria Barnes

Victoria Barnes

Victoria Barnes grew up with a pencil in her hand. Originally from Germany, she spent her early years bouncing between continents until finally landing in Richmond, VA. She earned a BFA in Communication Arts and Design from Virginia Commonwealth University, with an emphasis on illustration. Inspired by surface design, impression- ism, and the natural world, her work is playful and experimental, with an emphasis on unique textures and color palettes. Her art spans a variety of mediums, ranging from digital illustration to collage, to acrylic paint.
Katherine Lovell

Katherine Lovell

Many elements make Kathrine Lovell’s paintings unique. Her work balances an ethereal view of the natural world with complex patterning. She combines individual small images into larger compositions, creating the effect of tile. Kathrine received her BFA from Rhode Island School of Design and teaches painting and works as a decorative painter. She lives in Rhode Island with her partner and two dogs.

Alan Majchrowicz

Wilderness photographer Alan Majchrowicz is fortunate to be able to combine his passion for the outdoors with his profession. Born, raised and educated in the midwest, Alan felt the call of the Pacific Northwest and moved there in 1980. He travels widely with backpack and camera to find the out-of-the-way places that appear in his extraordinary photographs.

Today, while photographing and editing, she imagines her work hanging in her home and creates art she would love to decorate with.
